Hi just wondering what my chances are for applying early to Georgia Tech,

SAT 1870
Math 740
Reading 510
Writing 620

Georgia tech GPA = 3.625
Took 7 AP's from freshmen-junior year
Senior schedule:
Hope
AP LIT
Engineering
AP CHEM
AP GOV/ECO
AP EURO
AP CALC BC
AP COMP SCI (online)

For my EC's I row crew, it's about 20 hrs/week and got 8th at nationals last year, I tutor 10 hrs a week in math for people on my street, I'm in the National Honors Society, National French Honors Society

I have 120 volunteer hours
And I'm Native Hawaiian

Also a minority (korean but living in Sudan) applying to georgia tech
looks like a reach for both of us

SAT1 - 2180 reading 680 math 800 writing 700
sat2 - math2c-800 physics 690
AP PHyscis - A for the class and 4 for exam
(currently taking AP Lit and Comp, AP chem, AP calc)
GPA - approx 3.45 -3.5 UW (Changed schools 2 times in highschool because of moving around)
9th grade gpa 2.99, 11th grade gpa 3.83, 12th grade current gpa - 3.9 (big increase)

its a reach, even if your math score is great tech wants a high combined math + critical reading. Applying early action doesn’t help much cause its not a private school and they had a 30% increase in early action apps. SInce your from hawaii i guess it could help a bit but you will probably get deferred to regular decision. Best of Luck! Please chance me back

I honestly think you have a decent chance. Don’t listen to people who say your SAT has to be 2100+ for this school because that is not true at all. People from my school got in with 1800+'s. Your GPA is a bit low though so that will bring you down a bit. I’d say this is a match/high match
