My unweighted gpa is 3.2
Sats are 650/Reading
640/Math
560/Writing
I know my gpa is a little low but i have lived since i was 2 in New Jersey but I am still a British Citizen. Will this help my chances for getting into Fordham at all?

Your SAT scores seem to be good, take SAT II's, though not required im sure there looked up upon. hopefully you have a lot of Extra Curricular activies as well. Make sure your essays are on point and so are the recommendations. Also have the toughest courseload possible and i think you will be good, just try to keep doing well in school to show an upward treand, hopefully that gpa will go up.

since i am a junior my gpa probably wont go up that much ill have taken 5 ap classes by the time i have graduated for ecs i have a varsity letter(larosse) officer of interact club, habitat for humanity, volunteer at a hospital, my band played at our school's battle of the bands and coffee house. I also worked construction and worked at a horsebarn taking care of over 40 horses. Does stuff like this look good on college resumes

I would say you have good chances, since your gpa is unweighted 3.2 (weighted it should be more)
I think that you should mention solid ec's, great rec(try finding alumni's), do some community service over the break. And let Fordham know how much you want to be there. GOOD LUCK. Apply e.d. if Fordham is your first choice. I know how hard this entire process will be for you. GOOD LUCK AGAIN!

For your senior year make sure you have good midterm grades. Those will shed a better light on your GPA.

I am really worried about my Gpa what are some of your gpas

My SATS were a slightt bit less than urs, however, my gpa was about a 3.85-3.9+, our system is out of 100, and i have a 95.7 roughly, including weight thats the only way my school does it, and im top 10 in ranks of 642 graduating seniors. Also i have a lot of EC's..look me up in what are my chances, my SAT scores are a bit higher than whats posted.

I got in.. My GPA is 3.3 and my school doesn't add any weight to GPAs...but
I only took one AP class anyway... and failed (just stopped going to class) first semester. Yes I did send that in with my midyear report lol.
My SATS
580/Reading
570/Math
550/Writing
No SAT IIs

I have a downward grade trend and my recommendations are from teachers that I met at the beginning of the school year... and I don't have that many ECs. No sports, like two clubs both from senior year, some photography classes outside of school, and two jobs. I also wrote my essay the night the application was due so I don't know how I got in. It was a surprise to me but hey if I can get in you can too haha. Good luck!

i got in alsoo and my gpa was a 95..yet my SATs were a lil lower than urs..i think u have a shot of getiin in tho. cuz now fordham admissions is looking more closely to SAT scores of their applicants

My average is only about an 87 is there anybody who had a low average like that? Would doing things like emailing the admissions director or going for an interview help my chances?

An 87 is not low at all, its actually a B so don't stress out. Do not email the director that will get you no where seeing how thousands of students are applying. If you want to get into contact with someone from admissions ask to speak with you counselor(the person handling you app). I believe your a solid candidate make sure you have good ec's, and recs as i mentioned before. There is no need to keep bugging admissions to speak with the director because trust me you will not receive a reply from him. My average was a 92 although i had very low SAT scores. Write your essay on something that is personal to you and try to impress them with your words and aspirations for the future I think that is what they enjoy most in a students file.

When should i do this after i send in my application?

When should you do what?, everything you need to do will already be in the common app. You will need a short answer, essay, have a list of all your EC's and so on

how much do you think getting my math up to a 700 and my reading up to a 680 would help? is a 1380 a lot more impressive then a 1290

hi chuck. 1380 is definitely good. check out the profile of the fordham class of 2011:

1380 will probably get you a scholarship...and don't worry about the GPA too much especially when you have taken that many AP classes

I received the Loyola Scholarship with a 1480, 3.8, and National Merit Finalist status.

how much money did you get for that schlorship? Theres no way i am getting a 1480 so it is out of the question any way but still

for me,
1330/2110 and a little over A- average and I got loyola (8k)

I got the maximum Dean's Scholarship with a 1350/2000...32 act 730/700/650 SATIIs. (also an invite to Exp. Fordham)
