What are my chances for getting into USC School of Cinematic Arts (Film and Television)?

  • 4.0 unweighted, not sure about weighted, though
  • Taking the International Baccalaureate course (IB Program) and doing very well in those classes
  • Four years of Varsity Soccer
  • Done four school theater productions
  • Done multiple creative film projects, both in and out of school just for fun
  • Won award for "Best Youth Produced Film" in the San Francisco International Film Festival
  • Volunteered at the San Francisco Film Society for two years, assisting with their festivals and events on my weekends

My creative portfolio for my application I think is pretty solid. I have a well shot, 5 minute short film that tells a great story, I have an interesting short write that’s required, and my personal statement, in my opinion, seems pretty good.

I know that USC-SCA is one of the toughest colleges to get accepted to, but film is my passion. I love story telling and creating movies, and I would do absolutely anything to go to this school! Could anyone tell me if I have a chance? If there’s anything else I should do/change? Thanks a bunch!

USC is number one in the world in this field and though you look great but do not count too much on a USC admission! Consider UCLA, NYU and other powerhouses in this area as well! Any SAT/ACT score?
