Hi,
I'm currently a sophomore at Occidental College, a small LAC in Los Angeles. I'm really passionate about economics, history, public policy, and international relations, and am considering getting a PhD in Economics, or a MPP and Masters in Economics. Currently I have a 3.43, but after this semester, it should go up to a 3.6. I've worked for Congress in DC the summer between my freshman and sophomore years and I have several leadership positions in campus (Board of College Democrats, Board on Microfinance Club, President and Founder of Common Sense Action (club that gets students involved in politics and talks about issues).

I'm double majoring in international relations and economics, with a minor in math, and am planning on taking Calc II, Multivariable Calc, Linear Algebra, Real Analysis, etc. for the econ background.

I could really see myself working for a think-tank, an NGO, the UN, or the government, and I think with either a MPP/Masters in Econ or a PhD in Econ, I can do that.

I'm planning on going abroad this summer to do research on the multiplier effects of water and power development aid in rural Ghana, and present at a conference in the fall.

Do you think that I am on track to get into LSE/ Oxbridge?

What are the schools looking for in terms of GPA/ extra curriculars/ research experience/ internships?
Thanks
