Huge negatives I am worried about:
In grade 10 I was one year ahead in math (Grade 11 math) and I scored poorly. The next year I dropped down to regular grade so I am doing math 11 twice, but scoring 99% second time. It's not like I failed the grade or dropped to a lower grade, I just went from a grade up to my grade. 70-80% throughout year and 70% on exam. Worst result I have ever received. Will receiving 100% term 1, 3 and on the exam and 98% second term make up for that the next year in math?

*Should I do all 4 or 3? If 3 which 3?

Thanks guys!

I think that your scores and stats are really good! Send all 4 recs
Harvard: reach

UofChicago: low reach

Duke: low-mid reach
The only reason I say the ivies are reaches is because they are very unpredictable and turn away great candidates and accept sub-par ones sometimes. However, I think you have a better chance at them than many others. Good luck! Chance back? <a href=“Chance me for Vassar I'll chance back :) - Vassar College - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/vassar-college/1718961-chance-me-for-vassar-ill-chance-back-p1.html</a></p>

Thanks for the chance. You have a good chance at any one of those schools, including the most prestigious Harvard/Yale/Princeton etc. When writing your essays try to be creative and genuine, and do your best to put a personality and a face to the numbers so the admissions officers will go to bat for you. Good luck!

Your numbers look really good. The Bs might be a trouble for places like Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Princeton and Columbia. Also there is so much breadth but not enough depth in your ECs. Other stuff looks great.

Scores and grades are not high enough for the top five schools in the country Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Stanford.

UPENN: mid reach
Cornell: low reach

UofChicago: …
NYU: match/safety. Stern = high match.
Duke: mid reach

Excellent credentials – CONGRATULATIONS – but please consider the following facts re Duke 2019’s RD:

 • 48 percent of the 2019 was filled during ED.
 • The RD acceptance rate will approximate 8 percent.
 • About 20,000 RD applicants will be extremely competitive (you are certainly in this group, probably well above the mean, but 8 percent is a daunting figure).

I wish you good luck.

Your score seems to be excellent…Your EC’s are slightly generic for top applicants…If you can make up for that by writing amazing essays, your chances will rise

chance me back here…http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1725426-my-last-chance-thread-please-give-your-opinions.html#latest</a></p>

Go onto each website and look at the application requirements. Do not send more letters of rec than required. Admissions officers do not want extra work. Best of luck.
