Hello!
I have been doing my college search and recently asked a question about which college fits me and it seems like, with additional research, that Purdue, Illinois (Champaign), Michigan, Ohio State, and Rose Hulman are the best schools for me. But since they’re all such high level schools, do you think they would accept someone with 2 c’s? I got these in the same 1 year elective cause (nothing to do with mechanical engineering) but have been doing decent in my other classes.
A few other stats that might have a factor in the admissions decisions (but of course is not limited to):
Overall 4.3 GPA at the end of the semester of Junior year
30 on ACT
4 AP classes this year, 3 AP classes next year
2 leadership positions
100+ Volunteer hours
SAT ll taking later in June
I will probably to an early action to most of these schools if I can (which might increase my chances?)
P.S. I want to do direct admission to engineering for most of these schools if I can, so what are my chances to get directly into engineering. And if you don’t mind, can you also provide your thoughts of my chances of making it to pre-engineering for the schools where it seems unlikely for me to make it into direct engineering. Thanks!
