thank you and i a m open to other great colleges
Sure you can. It’s x/20.
All Ivy League colleges are a crapshoot for everybody, and the chances for admissions as an international student are roughly half that of a US applicant. Your stats are very good, but these schools reject hundreds of students with 4.0/2400 stats every year.
As an international student, your ethnicity and race carry no weight. Writing a novel is one thing; selling hundreds of thousands of copies is quite another.Good luck.
@SweedDz If you have a financial hardship, you or your counselor can request a fee waiver to Harvard.
What is an “A+” GPA? Almost everyone has a numerical scale, be it out of 4, 5 or 100.
Are you an international applicant? I’m a probationary volunteer FF in my local FD and no one I know of calls themselv a “young fireman.” Was your novel published? Do you have any leadership in school? What does “40% Spanish mean?”
i have 16.84 out of 20
EIC2400 : i didn’t know how to call my volunteering,i didn’t finish my novel but i hope so (i am gonna apply next january),no,but i represent unicef in my school . It mean that i am more french and romanian than spanish and i give a number ( the number is not accurate)
“Even cornell lol” That sounds very elitist. Cornell is a very good school and you’d be very lucky to get in there. You don’t have a better shot than anyone going into these universities. They are all crapshoots.
i’m sorry i didn’t mean it
@SweedDz That’s very cool! Not to make this thread go off topic, but I’m also a vounteer FF. Which state are you in?
France . They preparing us to the fireman test if we want to but i just like to help and go in intervention . And you what do you do ?
@SweetDz Cool! Since I’m not 21, I can’t enter burning structures, but we work in the exterior of the house, attaching exterior lines, hitting hydrants, grabbing tools, changing SCOTT packs, doing crowd and traffic control, setting up ladders, dragging lines, and general cleanup and overhaul – especially flanking lines and draining hoses after the call. We are not allowed on HAZMAT calls. It was a 50-hour intro course and continuous training. It’s a ton of fun and you’ll love it!
lol i’m doing the same thing
Very cool! Best of luck; be sure to take selfies in turnout gear :)!
So what are your languages and how on earth did you come up with a 40% hispanic number???
16.84/20 = 3.37/4 which is very low even for Cornell !
(Although I understand that it may not be fair to you to scale it that way. But still it looks too low to me)
@Crystal9ucla If you do not understand the French educational system, perhaps you should not offer advice to a French student. One does not take a French GPA and divide by 5 and expect it to line up with an American GPA. A 15+ on the French scale equates to an A on the American scale.
