hey, I am a junior high school and I am wondering what my chances will be to get into Stern. Here are my stats:

GPA: 3.6 unweighted (out of 4)
SAT score: 2350
Subject SAT's: Math: 770, (hope to get that to an 800 and I am hoping to take physics and chem)
AP's: Taking AP Stats, AP Calc, and AP Physics. (hopefully I will get 5's)
Resume: Took part in math league
part of the varsity track team
hopefully captain of the varsity track team this year and win many competitions
26 hours of community service at the library(will get more for sure)
planning on gaining some business experience this year.
Additionally, as a senior, I will be planning on taking AP economics, more business related and finance related classes and other AP classes in general.

What are my chances on getting into NYU Stern?

Stats are line with other applicants - so I’d say you have a decent chance. With your stats I would say high match going on low reach. If you apply ED you will have a much better chance.

Your GPA isnt stellar but your SAT score is great. Your ECs dont really shine either, you barely have any clubs or internships that relate to business. Try to get some experience in the field so it shows schools that you are really passionate.

thanks guys. especially sloth83. I am always up for some constructive criticism. what kind of internships do you recommend for someone like me who is going into business? and are all of of you guys nyu stern students now? just curious. And please, can more people reply and chance me? it would be great. And yes qwertyzxc, I am planning on applying early decision.

another question, do you guys think that the acceptance rates will decrease even more significantly for the class of 2019? because that was the case for the class of 2018 from class of 2017.

and sloth83, lets just say I have an amazing college essay, great recommendations, a marginal improvement in GPA, and an increase in business experience, how likely do you think my chances of getting in ED for Stern will be?
