NYU’s not within reach. In addition, don’t take Math 1 and Math2, since Math1 has a wicked curve AND is often disregarded by selective universities - especially since you’re taking Math2. You should take either a foreign language, a history, or a science subject test (or try 3 and send the top 2 scores).
Since you’re living in NY, look into the CUNYs - CCNY, Hunter, Queens, CSI would be matches. You can add SUNY Old Westbury, SUNY New Paltz, SUNY Purchase; NYIT, if you want to be close to the city, plus Manhattan, Hofstra and Pace.
RUN THE NET PRICE CALCULATORS on each website and bring the results to your parents; get a firm number/budget from them and cross out any school that’s not within budget.
Make sure to have two safeties - schools you like (even if they’re not in NYC), are sure to get into (ie., are well-above median score-wise), and that you can afford (they should be within your parents’ budget without loans).
SUNY Plattsburgh or SUNY Delhi may be academic safeties, as would be CUNY’s John Jay.
