What are my chances for Occidental?

Hi, I’m wondering about my chances for getting into Occidental College. I plan to apply ED 2.

I’m a senior and I live about an hour away from Occidental.

3.8 weighted GPA.
1310 on the new SAT (RW: 730, Math: 580).
I am taking the following classes this year: AP Gov (regular econ next semester), AP English IV, AP Computer Science, Spanish IV Honors, Physics, Fine Arts I.
In the past, the other AP/IB classes I have taken are: AP European history, AP English III, and IB Psychology.
For three years I’ve volunteered in a program that offers equine therapy to children and teenagers with physical and developmental disabilities.
I used to ride and compete horses, and even helped train a horse.
I’ve been apart of the Model United Nations club at my school for three years.
I do boxing and I used to wrestle. I was one of two girls on my wrestling team, and I earned my varsity letter junior year. I only quit because I have knee injuries that prevent me from wrestling.
In my spare time, I read and write a lot. I’m pretty good writer, both creatively and academically.
I have teacher recs from my english, psychology, and chemistry teacher.
I’m unsure as to what major I intend to pursue. Maybe something concerning writing.
I go to public school and am upper-middle class. I’m a white Jew.

Oh and I didn’t do very well sophomore year. I got straight B’s. Junior year was great for me, however. I’ve had a rough start to senior year, and currently have a C in Spanish (and I’ve never had a C before). This is largely due to anxiety, family issues, and some health issues.

I think your chances are very good. GPA and SAT is in the sweet spot. On the common app, explain the “C” and how it is not reflective of you as a student.

GPA looks good, but test scores are a little low, specifically in math. However, I think you have a decent shot at admission.
