Speak 5 languages. NHS member. Student council representative. President and founder of dodgeball club. Vice president/secretary of Muslim Student Association. Volunteered almost 150 hours. and more
Ik my GPA and rank is not great at all, but I feel like my EC’s and ACT score will boost my application a bit. What do ya’ll think my chances are?
I think it will be very difficult because you are not an auto admit to UT, since you are outside of the top 7%, and i believe the plan ii decisions are mostly made before admission decisions are made for the non auto admits.
What @CorpusChristi said is not necessarily true. I am a Plan II Class of 2021 admit and I was an out of state admit. I finished my application the day after the application opened (August 2nd) and was one of the first non-auto admit students to be admitted. A few weeks later I was part of the first batch of Plan II admit notifications, I was notified before many students who were auto-admit and were later admitted to P2.
I have just been proven wrong. My apologies!
@isk2017 You seem to be in an interesting category because 1. you’re in the top 7% rank, and 2. you’re a Texas resident although you were studying abroad. Any chance you were also at a DOD school? Because I believe people in that category are still auto admits under the state rules. Either way, good luck next year and enjoy Plan II!
