What are My Chances for RD Barnard?

Hi guys! I am currently a senior and international student. Barnard is my first-choice college. If you could please tell me my chances of getting in that would be great

Statistics:

SAT(superscore): 2020- R(630) M(750) W(640)
SAT subjects test: I haven’t given them yet, but they would be much better than my SAT 1, most likely 700 - 750

IGCSE Board results: A* (6) A (2)

Biology (A)
Chemistry (A

Geography (A)

IB Score: 39/42

Essay: Very personal and inspiring (at least I hope). I wrote about how after my parents passed away, I sort of lost my sense of balance and become lost, and how coming to India and identifying with my culture and family grounded me again. Also, I wrote about how going to an international school has broadened my perspective and how this, along with my innate interest in poltics and foreign affairs, brought about my interest in Model United Nations.

Recommendations:

  1. Biology Teacher- great
  2. English Teacher- has known me from 9th grade and witnessed (and even helped) my transition into a new me. Amazing!

You seem like an incredible fit! You sound like a true “Barnard woman,” and it certainly shows in all of your ECs. I love the Athena/Athena crossover  Since you’re chancing for Barnard, I assume you’re not applying to Columbia, which will also bode well for you, as you probably fall right in their perfect applicant pool and Barnard appreciates when girls show an obvious preference for their school. The Times of India Award is amazing. Your scores are right on the mark, if above and beyond. Your background is incredibly compelling and will certainly help you. See if there is any way you can arrange an interview, whether via Skype or though the alumna network (though the former sounds more realistic, as you’re outside the US, but you never know!). Regardless, Barnard seems like a sure match, or dare I say it, a high safety. Best of luck!

If you get the chance, perhaps chance me for the same (though my stats are nowhere near as impressive as yours!) http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1834047-chance-me-for-barnard-and-chances-are-ill-reciprocate.html#latest

You sound amazing but at IG level, an A* and an A are both 4. It’s at A level that they get 5’s. Either way, you kick butt!
