Any feedback please?

The lack of ECs and minimal volunteer hours may hurt you... but your scores make up for that ... sorta.

I'd say it's a reach for you. Did you actually ever do anything in NHS and SNHS (a lot of chapters neverrrrrrrrr do stuff) or FBLA?

nah didnt really do much at all
Could you also tell me my chances at
Upenn(wharton), NYU(stern), U.Chicago, Northwestern, Stanford/MIT?
Could you rank them in terms of difficulty (1-10), 1 being easiest, 10 being hardest?
Thanks

I'm no good at this but...
Wharton is going to be uhhh a 10 for you
NYU stern is like an 8 or a 9
UChicago: 5 (I imagine you're the average appliacnt they get, hope your essays rocked)
NWU: 5 again for the same reason
Stanford/MIT: 10/10

Yea you really don't have any like things listed up there that show your passion for business... I mean FBLA for a year.. nothing in your NHS/SNHS ... Unless your essays show something in particular that highlights your drive and knowledge of what you want to do.. it'll be hard.

What were your safeties?

Breaking News! You got rejected at Wharton! And some idiots are going instead of you, as you made a thread saying.

From what I see, you are good at tests. That is pretty much all your application says. You have weak ECs and from what I have seen of your posting, not a great character. Brutal? Yes. Was calling people who got into a college instead of you idiots absolutely ridiculous? Yes.

Brown: Predict Reject
Penn: Rejected
NYU/Northwestern/U.Chicago: Dunno
Stanford/MIT: Rejected for sure.

(This is his thread on the Penn Board http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=285110)

Hahhaaa ugnst basically said the same thing I did but I substituted rejects with 10's.

Here is his problem:

"the fact of the matter is I feel i was one of the most qualified but still got denied."

The Admissions people disagreed with him.

Haha.

Ungst, lay off. I think he gets it now.

well w/e ungst thinks...i realize i was a little [maybe more] irrational, but i really thought i had a chance even without any leadership

Yeah, I suppose that you do have a chance, but it's small, just like almost everybody. I suppose it's better to vent on the internet than somewhere else. Anywho, nobody is in for sure, which is annoying. All you can do now is sit back and wait, and be happy with what you get.

your ecs are REALLY weak...and that definitely hurt you...do you do anything out of class?! without any leadership potential, you are going to have a hard time making into a competitive school
Penn-reject (you know that already) 10
NYU-Reject 10
Stanford-Reject 10
MIT-Reject 10
UChicago-Reject (unless your essays are AMAZING...which is not likely, because not many applicants send in amazing essays, including myself) 7
Northwestern-Reject 7

All I can say at this moment is gulp ***

i honestly hope you arent joking around just because i made some random posts at how annoyed I was about getting denied.

I have hobbies, but as far as In-School ECs are considered, those are it,
and yes I realize my lack of leadership hurts.

Hey, don't stress too much man. Yeah, the EC thing really hurts, but with some good essays I think you have a shot at Northwestern and maybe UChicago, though I hope you have some safeties. Your scores and rank are good, so don't listen to everything people tell you on this site, all they know about you is what you listed. It'll be up to the colleges to see how qualified you really are.

K. Thanks.

I didn't realize Brown would be a long shot. I thought perhaps I had a chance.
Oh well.

MIT interview totally was bad.
Didn't have an interview for any of the other schools.

Whatever the case, I wanna try and transfer to Wharton

Brown is harder to get in than Penn, supposedly.

On Princeton Review's list, Brown is #4 and Penn is #9.

It is really up to the colleges. I applied to 4 reach schools RD and won't be suprised if I don't get in to any. I will be angry that I put in the money and time, but not all that suprised.

It doesnt look too good for me then. Idk why I keep posting....I think its because all of these ppl telling me Im gonna get rejected "on a scale of 1-10" makes me feel kinda hopeless....

I thought U.Chicago was a helluva lot easier to get into despite its high ranking. Whats up with that?

Well, on a scale of 1-10, Penn, Brown, and an increasing number of schools are a 10. Nothing more you can do, so just take a deep breath and just be happy if you get in.

alright, well thx ungst. you gave me some useful advice on what to hope for.
I know what my goals are for the next two years, so i suppose where i go for my first year wont matter as much as me starting to show some business aptitude/leadership for a potential transfer. If you could give me any useful advice on that, it would be appreciated

Sorry, I'm not experienced at all in that area. I'm hoping that my business hook will be my eBay activities (raised thousands for charity, also for me) Otherwise, I have no business hook. Probably a good recommendation from a job or internship could be good for a transfer to Wharton, along with a good first year of grades wherever it is that you end up.
