Im Currently a senior and i applied to Rutgers New Brunswick but im really scared i might not get in. I have a 4.1 GPA weighted and im ranked 9 out of 255 kids in my class. Im captain of my tack and soccer team with 30+ of community service. The only bad part is my SAT score. i cant take another one right now and they're extremely low. 1480. I filled my schedule up with advance classes and got As in all of them except for science. i got a B in those. Im taking an AP calc class currently a B+ and an college history class B+ as well. Do you guys think i have a chance in getting into Rutgers. I appllied for early action by the way. PLEASE CHANCE ME!! ILL CHANCE BACK. THANK YOU

dude are you stupid? your definetly in why are you stressing and there is no such thing as a 4.1 gpa so your probably over exaggerating or just plain dumb.

*** how are you 4.1 gpa and ranked #9 with a 1480 SAT…grade inflation smh

I think you need at least a 1800 for Rutgers, so I’m not 100% sure you’ll get in but you have a chance.

edit: wait, is this 1480/1600 or 1480/2400? Because if it’s 1600 then there’s really no point of asking if you’ll get in or not.

Creddy don’t listen to transfernbru, he’s coming off a bit rude. I do think he’s somewhat right about your chances… I’m far from calling you a shoe in, but you have a lot to offer. However, I was accepted to Rutgers 2 weeks ago and from what I’ve seen they weigh your SAT and transcript more than anything else, in fact I strongly believe its all they really look at if a candidate is either very strong or has no chance. Could explain why I got my decision 3 days after I submitted an application… Can you explain the discrepancy between transcript and scores though?

Chance me back please! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1586220-welcoming-any-all-chances.html

I got in to school of arts and sciences with a 2.9gpa and a 1910 sat.

just got accepted into NB SAS today!!! not a strong candidate either. 1600 SAT and 3.2 GPA but a lot of impressive extracurriculars and an amazing essay

Some people are just not test takers. I know many excellent students who just can’t seem to ace the sat. By the way you don’t need an 1800. They look at your overall application. :-*
