What are my chances for Stern ED?

<p>I am a junior and my GPA is about a 3.7 at my school. But I have taken 5 AP's already and plan to take 3 more in my senior year (I might self-study AP chinese). </p>

<p>GPA: 3.7
SAT: 2290 (740 math, 750 reading, 800 writing) (i might retake it to superscore math to 800)
SAT II: US History: 750 (planning to take lit, chem, and math II)
EC's:
-Model United Nations for 3 years (on the MUN planning committee that organizes conferences)
-Community Service for 3 years (leader of a booth at an international fair that raises funds for the school club)
-Habitat For Humanity for 2 years
-Trip to Africa (specifically Malawi) to help build houses for the poor as well visit a local school to help teach the kids some subjects in preparation for their exams (during the summer)
- Project leader of a group @ school that is raising money for cancer patients (1000$ or so right now)
- A writer for Make a Child Smile, a club that sends out letters to sick children (a pen-pal sort of deal)
- Basketball team (i might be captain next year, will have to see)
- Math tutoring for 2 years (geometry tutoring, algebra 2 tutoring)
- Math contests- both AMC and CMC (results haven't come out yet) </p>

<p>there might be more, but i can't think right now</p>

<p>I'm an international student living in China but I hold an American passport (if that helps). </p>

<p>anyway, can you give me an idea of what my chances are if I ed to stern? (if it helps, i don't need any financial aid- if i do, i need minimal financial aid)</p>

<p>I personally think you have a great chance. You fall well above the average applicants to Stern and you are comparable to many of the applicants who were accepted on CollegeConfidential (assuming they weren’t ■■■■■■■■). So don’t worry! You are very competitive for the college :)</p>

<p>oh and i am going to host a charity basketball 3 versus 3 tournament. I plan to use the funds from the tournament to buy basketball shoes for a local orphanage next to my school so they can continue their love for the game of basketball (the orphanage already has a hoop).</p>

<p>If you hold an American passport, you won’t be competing in the international applicant pool (which is a good thing). You have a great chance. Good luck.</p>
