Hi! I am almost done with junior year and and am thinking of college!! I am a good student and as of right now, I do not live in Texas, but i am moving there, so I will be in-state, and I will will graduate from a Texas high school. I am wondering what my chances for getting into Texas A&M at College Station are. I really want to go very bad!!!
I took the SATs 2 times and the first time, I got a 630 critical reading, 560 math, and 590 writing. The second time i got a 550 critical reading, 620 math, 640 writing.
I am most likely in the top 25% of my class, but that may change once I move. My weighted GPA is a 4.2.
I have over 70 hours of community service, which isn't too much but it's something.
I am in NHS and have been on honor roll every year of my high school career.
I do many extra-curriculars, including 2 varsity sports.
I don't know what else they really look for but I am planning on writing some good essays and trying to get the best recommendations. Any other advice or comments would be much appreciated!!!!
