First off, hi everyone, I am new here.

I am a junior at one of top public high schools in Pennsylvania. I am taking the SAT and ACT again in June.

Here is what I possess:
- 4.1 weighted GPA
- 1760 on SAT (640 Math, 530 Reading, 590 Writing)
- 23 on ACT
- In top 15% of my class
- Took 3 honors classes every year in high school

I have a part time job, member of two clubs at school, have great attendance, and I won two scholastic awards.

What are my chances at:
- University of Maryland at College Park ( I know this is a very competitive school)
- University of Dayton
- Miami University at Oxford (Ohio)
- Penn State University, University Park
- Ohio University

Thanks a lot. I really appreciate any feedback, suggestions, tips or advice on my college admission process!

Rank is king.
See I don’t get stuff like this. You have a very high GPA *well at least compared to me, but your SAT is not that high. I meant it is average.

But your chances look awesome!
Any ECs?

Well, I know myself very well. I am a horrible test taker, I will be totally honest with you lebron. I have very high grades because I study a lot and pay attention in school. However, when it comes to the SAT and ACT, I struggle mainly because I can’t take those tests quickly like all others. On the ACT, I was so rushed for time that I barely had time to finish and I guessed on many questions. I just don’t take tests very well, that’s all. But hey, everyone is different.

I think that you have a good chance at getting into the majority of these schools. You’re correct in saying that Maryland will be the hardest for you to get into - it’s mostly your test scores - but I’m almost positive that you’ll get into Penn State and Dayton, and probabl Miami and Ohio State.
