What are my chances for these universities?CS

Hello, I live in Georgia and i was wondering what were my chances for these universities. University of Michigan, Georgia tech, UCLA, university of Illinois, university of southern California. Mainly looking for schools good in computer science if you have a suggestion let me know and i will consider it!
UCSD.

my stats:
-Top 10%
-7 AP classes taken(physics b and c, calc bc, econ,comp sci,ap lit,american gov, multiple 5s) all A's in these classes
not much leadership extracurricular activities in high school. just small things like 1 year in interact club and a few non so important ones that i joined because i thought were fun to
hang with friends.
-24 ACT ( Its very low for my actual skills whenever i got into this test i would somewhat panic because of time constraints and importance of the test that i could not get the highest my potential would let me
-Honor graduate at my school

now i don't know how to go from weighted and nonn weighted gpa. but on my transcript it says 3.667

If i left any stats that are important out let me know and i will add them!

You need to greatly improve your ACT score to be considered at these schools.

Stronger E.C.'s could help too.

the 2 important E.C’s i did are interact and volunteering for a church by my school. Will i be completely ruled out of these because of my ACT?

Update the gpa i stated is unweighted with 3.667 with all those ap classes in it with A’s

bump…

They are all high reaches really. Okay GPA and super weal ACT. Not many ECs

By high reach if you could put a % on it would it say 5-10%? better or worse?

maybe some of these are easier than others?if anyone can, help identify which ones it would be greatly appreciated.

bump…

I’ll give you a non-reach given that everywhere else is a reach:

UMass Amherst: Match

what do you mean by everywhere else?

But Michigan, USC, UIUC, GA Tech and UCLA are all reaches (USC, UIUC and UMI are high reaches)…

Catria is saying it’s quite unlikely you’ll get into the schools you listed at this time. You need to search further.

My main main hopes(though not realistic) is USC, U of Mich, Gatech,.i will probably early decision to 1 of these schools. though i know to have a backup plan to some lesser schools. employment wise for computer science is there cons for going to say a school in a teir beneath USC and then transfer to a school like USC after core education?

not sure if this helps or not but will self learning higher math, physics classes and learn beginner programing languages yourself incraese chances at some schools?just generalizing

Well, it wont really have an impact on ur admission. It may prove helpful though during college. Btw, USC doesnt have an early option. Everyone must apply RD

I believe CS at USC is under Dornsife’s jurisdiction so get 3.6+ at, say, UMass Amherst or WPI, and then apply at USC Dornsife for transfer. USC Dornsife is rife with transfers so chances are that there will be another one in your situation.

Don’t slack with the standardized testing either. If you even want to be considered, you need to practice them, which I stated before (but you didn’t seem to acknowledge it)

yes i know. just that for some reason i have the mindset going in that the test results will make or break any of my applications. which i feel which is why i succeeded in all my ap exams because i was told you dont necessarily have to pass them unles you wanted credit. also going in the time constrain is always on my mind which kind of makes me panic and its always on my mind. making me perform less than my potential. im not making excuses or anything but i would probably max out my act at 27-30 no more than that because my reading and english suck but math and science are very strong ;(

ive always been a person to pace myself and not rush through timed test this is why act/sat type test are my kryptonite

I mean a 27-30 would improve your chances…

You may want to look at some test optional schools if you feel the SAT/ACT don’t show your potential.
