What are my chances for this list of schools causing endless stress?

Hello, all, I am a White Male from a well regarded public school in California.
Weighted GPA: 4.1
Unweighted GPA: 3.85
Class Rank 40/240
I would like to study History and Philosophy.

SAT:
Math 770
Reading 720
Writing 740

SAT II:
Math II and US History, don’t have results yet but I’m feeling pretty good about them.

AP’s
US History (5)
English Comp (5)
Currently taking 4 AP’s, HS offers 10 total. (APUSH, Comp, Lit, Physics, Calc AB, Calc BC, Psych, Spanish, Art and Gov)

EC’s:
Currently in my 2nd year of Jazz Band, have been an avid guitar player my entire high school career.
Community Service with a local organization for drug/alcohol awareness
Currently in my 2nd year of tutoring freshman.
Member of Political Action and Awareness Club

My EC’s are weak and my GPA/ rank aren’t too impressive, I know.

I have two teachers and a counselor writing my letters of recommendation, all of whom I know very well, so I think those will be great. Still working on my essays but I’ve had great feedback so far. I have a list of schools and I want to know if I should even bother with some of them and which one are matches/reaches etc.

Northwestern, Tufts, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSB, UC Davis, Colgate, American, Tulane, NYU, UC Santa Cruz, Cal Poly.

UCLA/UCB: High Match
UCD/UCSCB/SLO: Match
UCSC: Low Match

You look like a competitive applicant academically. Your essays and EC’s could make or break your chances to UCLA/UCB.

Good luck.

Thank you for the feedback, but I’d like feedback for the private schools too.

Tulane: Match

I think this is a solid list of reaches and matches. Do you have a true safety where you are almost certain to get in and can afford it? Have you run net price calculators in all these to confirm they are affordable?

Your list seems balanced but also sort of all over the place. For example, Cal Poly and Tulane are very different places. But I’m not going to critique your list - you seem to have a pretty set idea of what you want.
Your class rank and GPA are I think what may drag you down.

Northwestern: high match
UC Berkeley: low reach
UCLA: high match
American: match
Tulane: low match
NYU: match

I don’t know enough about the others that I would feel confident saying anything, I’m sorry.
Would you mind weighing in on my list? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1830636-180-days-to-go-so-help-me-stay-sane-by-predicting-my-chances.html

@intparent Yes, CSU Northridge is my backup, and I’m almost positive I can get in there.

@peytonmg Thank you, I’ll critique yours. I know it seems completely all over the place, but there’s a method to my madness, I can assure you!

No, I completely understand. People shake their head at my list too, so it’s not really my place to critique yours, haha. But best of luck to you, you’ll certainly be up in the top of the applicant pool and hopefully the admissions committees consider the amount of effort you’ve put into your school community.

OP, did you run the net price calculators on the school financial aid webpage for each school? Some on you list don’t always give great financial aid. Unless your parents can and will pay a quarter of a million dollars for college (and some parents will, I am just asking).
