In the whole scheme of things, SAT IIs are not a test that can save you if your SAT scores are not up to par (like yours, unfortunately). This is because you can play to your strengths and take SAT IIs that you know you will do well on. A 500-600 score is not really top tier material, which is a bummer because the SATs should theoretically be the easiest part of the application. Unlike your transcript and extracurriculars, they are the only academic indicator that you can take again… and again, which is something you should do. Simple stuff like vocab cards and knowing which questions are “hard” questions and which ones are “easy” can boost your score by over 100. Back in the 1600 SAT days when I took them, some quick studying and retaking had that effect on me. Nothing has changed.

crfreak you are seriously *ed up. Nobody listen to this piece of *. It doesn’t matter what other people on here think. Use the official college sites to gauge your potential, follow your interests, be passionate about what you are doing and I hope that all of you get to where you want. Crfreak on the other hand, I wish the worst for you. A person like you deserves no better.

cr_freak is such a freaking #$%%er. I guess he’s preparing for some competitive exam in India. That’s the reason I guess for his screwed up mentality. And just to tell you a guy from my older school got a score of 1830 on his SAT. Guess where he made it, MIT. He had designed an indigenous rocket when he was in 10th grade. So all the universities in the US have thousand times better admission policies than Indian ones. They look at your complete application; not just only some score. Another friend of mine got into Carnegie Mellon, Georgia Tech, UIUC, U Mich as well. His score was 1990.

AND YOU MUST BE OUT OF YOUR MID TO SAY THAT U MICH IS NOT WORTH IT!!
