let's see, i'm a junior right now and i was accepted into this program where you take community college classes and high school classes concurently, so by the time i graduate from high school i'll have about 60 transferable semester college units and a associates of art degree in general studies. I have pretty good grades, probably 3.8 unweighted and somehting really crazy for weighted because i'm in a different situation with all these college classes. the only C i've gotten was freshman year because i guess you could say i made some bad choices...i'm president/co-founder of a traditional dixieland band in which i play lead trumpet. I am also the vice president for the community college's national honor society. (with this club I also do a lot of volunteer work). For major community service, I have 100 hours working at a music camp tutoring kids on all instruments. I have also been a member of two other jazz bands my freshman and sophomore year. (as you can see, i have a deep passion for music although i plan to major in a combination of business and public health.)

as for ACT scores, i only took it once and got a 27...but i'm planning on retaking those in june and aiming for at least a 31 or 32..as for the SATIIs i'm not even taking those until may 6th (next week) and i'm going to take mathII, literature, and U.S. History hopefully i get at least a 700 on all of them.

i'm from northern california (san francisco) and i would most like to go to ucla because it's a great school and the atmosphere is wonderful (can't beat LA life) as for berkeley, it's also a great school and has the outdoors atmosphere that is also desirable. UCLA seems to be a better fit because it's unfamiliar and close to the fast-paced real world. Everything is in LA, and I want to experience it. But I'm not sure what my chances are, especially if my SAT II scores don't come through.

alright please tell me what you guys think
