assuming youre a philo major id say your borderline… but tap does help you quite a bit… goodluck.

Haven’t you already posted this? Well in any case, I’ll copy-paste my response so as to bump ze thread.

Probably in. Yeah, I’d say you’re in; Philosophy is not impacted at all.

Do you have an alternate major by any chance?

no i dont have an alternate major…
will that hurt me?

you should have chosen alternate major if you’re tap certified… I mean it’s better to have an alternate major, because UCLA considers your alternate major for admission if you’re tap certified. By the way, it won’t necessarily ‘hurt’ you.

TAP only works if you have an alternate major. It gives you priority for that alternate major :/

@UCLAplease tap gives u priority for ur first choice major and your alternative. if it only gave it for ur alternative no one would be in tap lol.

@panda48 i say you have a 70%-80% chance of getting into ucla as a phil major.

@uclakid

I think that’s what he meant, haha.

I’m amazed at people who don’t put alternate majors. You’ve got nothing to lose lol. Even if you’re an Econ major and aren’t interested in anything else at least you can see the “Congratulations!” acceptance phrase from UCLA, hah.

^I didn’t put an alt major. It’s not important enough for me to get into UCLA unless I’m getting in as a Psych major. I’d sooner goto SD or Irvine. Of course most of my ‘fight’ this semester and last has been for UCLA so it’s still my top choice

Most likely in!
