What are my chances of getting into UCSB, UCIrvine, UCDavis, UCSD and Cal Poly Pomona and San Luis Obispo? Will my SAT scores make up for my gpa? Will I have to raise my SAT scores higher or will they have little effect? Does my grade improvement from sophomore to junior year help at all? HELP!!

instate? i think your SAT's are only going to make up part of your lacking GPA.

i still need help!

You are in at irvine and UCSB.

Incomplete information to judge. What is your intended major? Your chances will vary if you want to apply for, say, bioengineering vs. social science.

These admission profiles for 2008 will help you determine where you stand. Click on the UCs on left hand list. The GPAs listed are UCGPAs so you need to calculate that. (UC approved a-g courses A=4, B=3, C=2 and extra point for APs and certain H courses up to 8 extra points). Your SAT score will definitely help you, but UCs do consider GPA very important. SAT IIs are great, they will count the best 2 which are your Math2 and maybe Physics (A SAT II in your native language is not considered by many schools, I don't remember if the UCs use that policy).
