<p>Yep, UNC is a ***** to get into if you're out of state-I gave up even trying a long time ago. You basically have to be Ivy League competitive to get into that school as an out-of-state student.</p>
<p>All the above posts are correct...OOS to UNC is death unless you have around 1400 or so, very good ECs, and a hook. If you bring up your SAT, you will be in a better position but your ECs are lackluster (except for the bilingual thing).
Only 18% of UNC's freshman class is reserved for OOS applicants. They are required by law to take 82% of their students from North Carolina.</p>
