Like AnthonyZ said, your EC’s won’t disqualify you from the Ivies, and they do show Initiative and passion, but try doing research to prove that you are knowledgeable in STEM. It can’t hurt to try right? Also, GT is a reach for anybody in CS. It’s #6 in the country.
