Hello there, I am a highschool senior that just applied to USC Marshall School of Business. I think I have good Ecs, a good SAT score , but I have bad grades. Those of you who went to USC/ know a lot about it- could you give me your honest opinion on my chances of getting in?
I have a 3.6 UW and a 4.0 weighted gpa, 1550 superscored SAT, Elected Treasurer of Student Body, President of a club, Eagle Scout, and won 2 business competitions- one regional level and won at a national level.
I think you have a fair shot, but it could honestly go either way. Business is one of the more competitive majors at USC so keep that in mind. Good luck!
How rigorous were your classes compared to what was available to you? Your EC’s look pretty good.
Based on stats/EC’s, you fit the range: your SAT is above average but GPA is below, but I guess they sort of balance each other out. However, USC still has a very low acceptance rate of around 11%. I think you have an average chance, probably around 20/25% (for reference, in my opinion, even people with perfect scores and GPAs only have around a 50% chance when the admit rate for a school is that low… if your scores/GPA is less than the provided range, your chance is probably less than the acceptance rate).
