What are my chances for UVA engineering??

Hey so I am a white male from an extremely competitive public school in northern VA. I am looking to apply to UVA engineering and I know E school is more competitive.

My gpa weighted is 4.31 (as of end of junior year) top give percent 10/277. I have straight A's except one B in calculus. To make up for it I decided to take calc BC at the community college over the summer and I have a A and will take multivariable senior year. By my senior year I will have taken 9-10 APs.

I have mediocre ap exams... All 3's except I got a 2 on calc Ab (not putting this on application) got really sick...

ACT:I took the ACT five Times and showed tremendous improvements having raised it 10 points and it consistently rose after each date. My best single date was my final time with a 33 (35 math 35 English 29 reading and 31 science. I got a nine in my essay for a 32 combined English writing. ^this was in a single date and NOT superscored.

I got a 770 math SAT 2 and 690 US history. (take these again to get another 750+).

My extracurricular activities are very good... Soon to be eagle Scout and had numerous leadership positions in Troop, Co founder of a nonprofit organization that has a 501c3, VP of school model UN, tennis team number one seed and captain (obviously varsity), won a regional tournament, varsity school chess team which took third at States, 2nd in school tournament, magnum cum laude on national Latin 4 exam, 2nd at the regional science and engineering fair, Latin and math honor societies, nhs, math tutor, 4-H took third in lambs at county fair, over 500 service hours in high school and received presidential gold and silver awards, member of a youth advisory council dedicated to helping teens in county overcome oppressing issues, and I am sure that I forgot at few but those are the main ones.

Note that I pointed out every possible flaw that I could think of (even though I believe you only looks at your highest ACT and I think I can leave off my 2 on AB)

Thanks!!

a 2 on your calc exam doesnt help applying to engineering school. and for most top engineering schools, 800’s are standard on the math 2.
other than that you are solid. still a low reach though because its UVA

I am leaving off the Ap score. Besides, uva says those are optional admissions factors if you choose to list them

Why am I a low reach?? Like my act is above 75 percentile and my class rank /gpa is also in the upper percentile… And I am positive Mt ec’s are really going to help

Any one else have an opinion?

Your ACT score (33) puts you into the 75% percentile (top 25%) of admitted students, and your EC’s are solid. It’s a match. You still have to put together a solid essay.

Your only other concern is that UVA accepts a lot of OOS students (31%), and this is done for finacial reasons. You could lose a slot to an OOS student; so UVa shouldn’t be thought of as a safety school.
