Thank you for any input

Northeastern Match
Boston College Match
Villanova Low Match
Wake Forest Match
Duke Reach
Northwestern Low Reach
Yale (Stretch I know) High Reach (for everyone)

You need one safety.

I agree with the above poster but might call BC a high match and if you are applying to the business school, I would make that a low reach. I would also change Villanova business to a low reach/high match if you want business.

I agree you need a safety…would you consider a big state school? What do you want to major in?

Off the top of my head, if you like BC and Villanova, maybe put Providence or Loyola Maryland on as a safety? Penn State and Maryland are also great schools if you don’t mind big. And if you want business, you meet the direct admit requirements for Kelley School of Business at Indiana which is a fabulous program and very highly ranked. You could try Michigan, too. Might have an edge if you are out of state there now because they need the money.

My Safety is Rutgers since in NJ. I will be adding another Safety of course, not sure which. I also looked at NYU but went to visit and not that crazy due to the City and zero campus life.

The Major will be Business.

Thank you for all your input

I agree with the above except that Duke would be a reach but Northwestern only a “low reach”. They are both comparative schools in terms of competitiveness. Both would be reaches with acceptance rates at 10%. The only way it would be low reach is if you applied ED to Northwestern because they accept at a higher rate than normal ED percentage there (over half the class is filled with ED).

Yale, Northwestern and Duke do not offer undergraduate business BTW.

@TomSrOfBoston

Northwestern’s business school does offer something to undergrads. It’s just not a degree program.

Marist could be a safety

Based on 3.8/1460:

Reaches: Yale, Duke (low reach if ED), Northwestern (low reach if ED)
High match: BC, Wake
Match: Northeastern, Villanova

Yes realized that. Northeastern, Villanova and Wake Forest seem to be the Top 3 for Business That I hope I get into… I know Duke and Yale are a far stretch but my background is diversified. I also teach guitar lessons and started a business this summer and have done some research and observations in the OR with a local surgeon. I have that my scores and well-rounded background gets me into a few. Thank you for your input.

I am also scheduled for a Skype interview with Wake Forest. I am preparing as best I can.
