I also scored a 2100 on SATS.
Ive taken honors classes all thru my 4 years and APs.
I took the highest level 3 of languages offered at my school and passed with an A

so what are my chances?

Excellent chances at NYU. Not sure on Georgetown. Best of luck!

Georgetown and NYU are more or less the same in competitiveness, and you have a fairly good chance at each.

hmmmm i disagree, i think georgetown is a bit tougher to get into. the fact that your hispanic helps you a lot…your GPA is a bit on the low side, and your SAT scores are average, but the AP test and class load is pretty good  I think you have a very good chance at NYU, but you should probably also apply to some safeties as well… GL!

i agree. being hispanic certainly does tip things in your favor. good chances at NYU, decent at gtown. but look into safeties as mentioned.

Slightly tougher, but not by much.

I would say he has good chances at both.

94% of the Georgetown admits are in the top 10% of their class and 2/3 of those are in the top 3 of their class. They also admit from about a 1000 different high schools across the country. Your SAT scores are a bit on the low side for Georgetown… I would say its a reach but your Hispanic background might give you a little boost. If you are in the top 3 of your class you have a better chance. NYU you have a very good chance.

Your chances (based on your stats) seem pretty good for NYU, but it will have to depend on what college you are applying to (generally Stern is the hardest one to get in).

Yes, do bring your GPA up and try to get into 2200 + on SAT if you can, just to be safe. remember your essay and teacher recs are very important. Demonstrate passion, and find teacher who will write you wonderful letter of rec gushing with how amazing you are :)

Good luck!
