What are my chances? (Georgetown, Stanford, Columbia, Brown)

I feel that you have pretty good chances! Keep it up!

I’m not sure how she presented it, but we were born in Bulgaria. She lived there for 10 years and I lived there for 7, so we are both fluent in Bulgarian. In addition, our mother is from Russia, and has taught us both how to speak Russian. (we often visit Russia as well.) We consequently learned English after moving here. She applied to the International relations school and got in.

Thanks Diagnostician!

You have one B and you are 3 out of 500 something kids? Dang, I also have one B (I am a Junior) and I’m about ranked half in my school - _ - there is only about 80 kids in my class too.

I think you have a shot at Georgetown.

With your scores and ACT, I think that Stanford, Columbia, and Brown will be high -reaches. Especially since you have the race card playing against you

Thanks Jenga, I still ahve the opportunity to retake the ACT. What score (realistically) would give me better chances? Would even a 33 be okay?

Also, do the AP scores affect your chances dramatically? I thought they didn’t really matter unless you were seeking credit.

One more thing: do you recommend taking the SAT subjects over the regular SAT reasoning since I already have an ACT score? I was thinking of taking them the once chance I have before applying early decision.

Thanks for hearing me out!
