Hey guys, so I was wondering if I had a real shot of getting into Colgate early decision. My SAT schools are significantly lower than average (Math: 620, CR: 600), but my GPA is a 4.08 (out of 4.20) and I am in the top 5 out of a class of 360. I also do a lot of extracurriculars, and I am a competitive figure skater. I really love Colgate, but I'm worried about getting in, especially with my low SAT scores.

I’d take this to the chance forum and/or the Colgate page.

Yikes, those SAT scores are a little low for Colgate. And generally gate looks for varsity athletes such as hockey players, not sure why, maybe preference. Do you hold any leadership positions? You mentioned lots of extracurriculars, I know a guy who got into MIT with lower than average stats but he was the active president of a massive high school. That stuff goes a long way. I’d say go ED but have a healthy amount of RD choices too. And as Happy1 said, this really belongs in the official thread you’ll get better feedback there.
