What are my chances? HELP! please :(

Hi! I'm going to be a senior this upcoming semester and I'm extremely nervous about applying to colleges. :(( I've made a short list of colleges that I want/wish to attend. I might try to major in business or law or I might go in undecided. :/ I don't know which.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what my chances are of getting admitted. In addition, it would greatly appreciated if you could also tell me additional colleges that I should consider. Thank you :)

So, here's the list of colleges I wish to go to:

UC San Diego
UC Davis
UC Santa Cruz
UC Santa Barbara
UC Riverside
Boston College
Boston University
NYU
USC

I'm a Korean student. First generation college bound. Extremely low income.

Here is a list of my GPA's according to the transcript I received at the beginning of my junior year, but I am sure that they will increase at least .1 each and if not more (especially my weighted GPA) because I received all A's in my junior year except Pre Calc Honors.

Unweighted GPA: 3.8235
Weighted GPA Overall: 4.1852
UC GPA (if I calculated this correctly..): 4.2

Rank: 45 of 504 (Top 10%)

SAT (I plan on taking it again this Oct.):

SAT 2:
Biology: 670 M, 680 E

So here basically everything about my high school career. Please. Please. Please tell me what my chances are to EACH of these schools and additional information as to your answer will be greatly appreciated.

Once again, thank you for your time! :)

bump :/? :/? :/?

first of all, i think for the most part uc gpa’s tend to be lower than weighted at least so far for everyone i know thats how it has been since uc gpa is capped, BUT i might be wrong. also, for ur community service in which u write 20+ and 100+, are those for school clubs or outside school clubs?

anyways, ur stats look rly similar to mine, my sat was a 2080 that rly was the only difference ive been told that ucsd and uc davis are matches, uc berkeley and ucla are reaches, and the rest i should get into, so the same applies to you probably…

My weighted gpa now should be somewhere between 4.4 to 4.6 now. I think. so I think my weighted it correct
Yes, they’re from outside school clubs.

Are you sure you didn’t overlook princeton, university of chicago, boston college, boston university, and nyu? haha some of those seem like pretty big reaches for me if berkeley and LA are reaches

Thank you for taking the time to reply. :)

oh i was just talking about uc’s

Okay, I would say that princeton NYU and BC are all going to be reaches. Your GPA is pretty good but is on the low side. What the real reason for these schools being reaches is the fact that you have a very low SAT score. You need 2200 for Princeton and probably 2100 for BC and NYU especially since you are asian. So I would recommend that you study really hard for the SATs and raise them. then you would have a shot.
Good luck!

oh ok thank you  so all the other schools besides BC NYU and Princeton, I have a good chance of getting admitted?

I’m currently studying for the SAT’s right now, so hopefully, I get above a 2100 :/

bump~…~~~~~
