I am a low income senior in NYC and I’m applying to NYU (CAS), Columbia (CC), and Cornell (CALS) through the HEOP program (which is a program for economically and academically disadvantaged students-LOWER STANDARDS).
Numbers:
-UW GPA: 90.5%
-New SAT: 1370/1600 (640ERW+730M)
Rigor: Most rigorous: APWH, AP Eng Lit, SOC 101, PSY 101, and CRT 101 (My school does not have many APs)
Rank: School does not rank but probably around top 30% (A lot of competitive kids in my school)
Extracurriculars:
-Internship/job(4 yr)
-Job (2 yr)
-Debate (3 yr)
-Community service (400 hours)
-Tutoring neighbor/ babysitting (paid): 4 years
-Track (2 yr)
-Cross Country (1 yr)
-STEP (1 YR)
-ALOT of home responsibilities so not a lot of time to do e.c
-Student Government (1 yr)
Would I have ANY chance to get into Columbia, NYU, or Cornell through the HEOP? Any kids who know about HEOP or have been accepted to HEOP at these schools, please chance me. I can chance Back!
