<p>oppose to year 2000
27% of the people scored above 600 on verbal.. (approx one out of three)
i don think people became that much more intelligent all of a sudden..</p>
<p>if you look at older exams.. you'll realize there are more sections related to analogy and fewer on reading comprehension.. and fewer problems per section within the same given time on newer exams...</p>
<p>that's only the difference between 95 and today..
imagine how much more difficult is the SAT back in the 60s</p>

Especially I want to thank Drusba for his specific accounting of the change in SAT scores due to recentering; the worst thing that could have happened for educational reform in this country. I thought people would laugh when I earlier wrote my brother's 1400 in 1971 resulted in a flood of admissions offers from all over the country; including all of the elites.</p>
