I go to a small public school in Philadelphia. I have read the chart that was posted and I am in the yellow. However, I think that since that was for last year, that it might be a little bit harder to get in. I applied summer, and have tons of reccomendations (which prob wont be read because PSU does not read anything!) . . anyway - what do you think my chances are?

GPA: 3.61
Class Rank: 66/196
SAT Math: 570
SAT CR: 600
SAT Writing: 610
Applied Major - Undecided

Spanish Club, SADD, Varsity Debate, Varsity Mock Trial, Interact, Lacross, Track, Soccer (2 seasons), work 3-5 days a week sophmore to senior year, and a few hours of community service.

I did a summer study program at PSU my sophmore summer and have 4 penn state grads in my family. I do not know if that matters, but it was pretty much the topic of my personal statement.

I basically have all the same information as you lol and i have yet to hear back..its my first choice and im so scared!

i got the same scores on the sat for math and critical reading..but my gpa is 3.8 ...i also attended a summer study program at PSU the summer after my freshman year and my sister is currently a sophomore there

um. . we prob went the same year! did u do the 3 or 6 week?

you will prob have a better chance of getting in because ur GPA is better, but hopefully my alumni will help some. But now I'm curious, because I did it after my freshman year too (i meant before the summer going into Sophmore year)

I just want to say that the personal statement was not a "create-your-own" topic, and if you really did write about having alumni, then you went way off-topic.

No I know, I mentioned it. My personal statement was not ALL about that. I wrote about mock trial/debate and how my father is a lawyer that graduated from psu and how that is what I want to do. Don't worry.

No worries. you are in no problem. By the way, are you free next friday? I was wondering if I could take you out, but you might be alittle outta my league. Let me know.
