What are my chances in North Carolina?

Hi all,

I am only a sophomore, but I am already thinking about my chances for local universities, and how much I need to improve to havae a chance at those universities. First of all, let me start with the universities that I am interested in;

NC State University
UNC Chapel Hill
UNC - Wilmington

So far, my grades look like this;
(I am going off of what I will get at the end of this semester)

Freshman Year:
Microsoft Excel/Access: A
Honors Pre-Calculus: C
Computer Programming I: A
Healthful Living: A
Honors World History: B
Honors Geometry: B
Honors Biology: A
Honors English I: B

Sophomore Year:
Latin I: A
AP Calculus AB: B
Honors English II: A
AP Chemistry: B

I am planning on taking a lot more AP courses, and I know that I will do well in them because most of them are science AP's. I am in a club at my school where we help the special needs kids, and we are "buddies" with them. I also volunteer at a nursing home. Finally, I plan to either volunteer at REX Hospital or at UNC Chapel Hill.

Based on those extracurricular activities, and considering that I get all A's, ans very few B's for the rest of my high school career; What are my chances of getting into NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, and UNCW

Thanks in advance to all that reply

What’s your gpa

Unweighted: 3.41
Weighted: 4.25

But the GPA can only go up from here, for me anyways.

Since your a sophomore, you have time. I’m a junior with a 3.65 unweighted and a 4.68 weighted. UNC LOOKS AT BOTH. Some people say the only look at unweighted but that’s a myth. Most importantly are the ECs. Make sure u still keep up with those cause in junior year, you’re gonna be really busy. Another thing is try to take more than 6 APs. Rex is a really good area to volunteer, since ur a sophomore, u should also volunteer in libraries and be part of alot of clubs. Maybe even make ur own. I too want to go to UNC or duke. Good luck, plz chance me back

Also if u keep it up, ur guaranteed in uncw and nc state

UNC chapel hill not very high

Unless you get ~1900+ on your SAT you’re under the median bar for NCSU
