@StanfordAspirant Harvard, Stanford and MIT ultra reaches. Also being waitlisted at UIUC doesnt bode well for an acceptance at Harvard/Stanford/MIT. Berkley is more attainable bit still a reach. Make sure you got good matches and safeties on your list.

Did you apply to another other schools? These are reaches for anyone and perhaps even high reaches for you.

All high reaches cause of your GPA and its trend. If you are instate for UC Berkeley it is a less of a reach than the others.

BTW I know there is not much you can do but most colleges don’t want 5 LOR. They usually want 3 max so, it won’t be a deal breaker but it could annoy the admissions counselors.

UIUC don’t want an LoR, for instance.

Did you apply for CS or computer engineering at Illinois ? If so, isn’t it among the top 5 programs in the US ?

If you are out of state there is no financial aid at UC Berkeley.
