i m a international student and i don't have any money to pay colleges,,,,,so i need u guys to recommend me some colleges who can easily take me in and can give generous financial aid to me.............(i m from india)

and one more thing i know president of india....can that help somehow :)

An impressive act my friend! you really remind me of someone, anyway you have a really huge chance of getting admission in top universities of United States but still which universities are you considering because one of my friend had a similar biodata but still couldnt get admission in MIT so choice of university matters.

If you present all your data in your transcripts and essays in an impressive manner that will help.

What were your scores of past grade and in which grade are you?

No, knowing president of india is not going to help.

My recommendations - Try CMU, NYU, YALE and Columbia University.

NYU - International Students are not eligible for aid.

CMU - “An undergraduate, International Student is ineligible to receive any federal or state student financial aid. Additionally, Carnegie Mellon does not award any institutional financial aid funds to undergraduate International Students.”

[Financial Aid Policies](http://www.cmu.edu/policies/documents/FinancialAid.html)

Columbia -"Admission is not need-blind for International Students (see the Admissions website), meaning that the admissions committee takes into consideration how much financial aid a student requires when rendering an admissions decision. Although financial aid is available for international students, candidates should be aware that their applications are read in a more selective process than are other candidates’. "

@anialways is my application good enough for cmu, yale or cornell
i m also thinking for univ of illionis and georgia institue of tech and maybe univ of maryland

Yes on the basis of SATs and ECs, you do look like a strong applicant. But you have not mentioned your academic score or class rank 9/10/11 and 12th midterm. Because that is again one of the early filters.

As far as I know of applicants in the past, I would have to say, you are good to go for Yale, Cornell, CMU, UIUC and Georgia Tech as well, provided your GPA score is competitive as well.

ok
in 9th i got 8 CGPA
in 10th----9 CGPA
and 11th----60%
in 12th mid term-----around 60%
and i thought they only need my 10th marks(cbse) because my 11th and 12th marks are not good enough

and do u think if i apply for financial aid it will effect my admission

and i know president of india can that help somehow i mean can i use that card…like i can interview president and publish it on my websites or maybe upload video…what do u think can that improve my application

Please understand US Colleges require your High School Transcript ie. Classes 9/10/11/12. So if one begins on the lower side in the 9th class and shows an upward trend, that would be a positive. Or if there was consistency, that would be a positive.

Your academics are way too low for all the colleges you are aspiring for. My advice lower your expectations. What I would suggest is compile a list of colleges that match your GPA and where you are more likely to get in. And then work really hard get a great GPA in 1st and 2nd year of college and apply for a tranfer to your dream colleges in the 2nd or 3rd year of college. That is a more practical scenario.

I will be very blunt, Please understand ‘name dropping’ will not get you far. You need to understand you will be judged on your own merit in real life. So the earlier you get that the lesser the disappoinments.

And yes, asking for FA will affect the admission decision.

actually i tell u the truth i didnt gave 11th and 12(mid term) exam…i m going in a demi school and they dont bother it much so i can fix as much number as i want like 90-95%…
will that make it any better…

I am wondering about your SAT scores! In fact, I am very skeptical about them.
