What are my chances(Junior)

Here are my stats/info(As of Junior Year)Average-96(UW),105(W),rank-(8/404), have taken all honors and AP Classes, got a 5 on the Euro exam, 4 on the World, and 3 on Biology. I'm currently taking AP American and AP Lit. Next year along with honors classes I'm taking AP Calc BC, AP Macro, and AP Language. I've played baseball since I was 5, travel ball and school team(captain on JV and playing on Varsity this year), orchestra since 4th grade(first chair), over 100 hours of community service, Intel Science Club, National Honor Society, and Foreign Language Honor Society. Sat was a 1760(I will retake it, and also I took the ACT, hopefully got between a 26-30 on my first try.).
So what do you think my chances of admission at UCONN are?

Are you instate or out of state? What is your intended major?

Out of state, intended major would be history or political science.

If you increase your SAT score, i think you have a good chance.

I think regardless of SAT, you’re in.

Thank you! Either way I want to increase my SAT/ACT for scholarship purposes.

How competitive is your high school? If your high school is not competitive then your SAT/ACT becomes more important. If you are a minority then I think your chances are close to 100%, otherwise you will need a SAT score over 1200. Writing doesn’t count Good luck

My high school is very competitive I’m number 8 in my class and like 5 points from #1. And no I’m not a minority.

So I just found out I got a 26 on my ACT. I’m obviously going to take it again, but does this help me or hurt me as of now?

What school within Uconn to you plan to apply?? A couple of my sons friends who had better SAT/Grades were turned down to the business school. The bar is higher for out of state. Uconn will probably be harder to get into this coming year. Good luck, my advise is to take a prep coarse (SAT/ACT).

Take prep courses for the ACT and SAT if you can, or just practice from the books on your own. Retake them both. My son’s SAT definately went up the next time he took it. Also, apply early! Then you have more of a chance of getting a scholarship. I am dreading going through this again with my next son. It also helps if you know what you want to major in to narrow down your choices. Good luck.

Yeah I’m definitely going to retake them, I took them to see how I would do without studying. And I plan on doing history or poli sci.
