what are my chances? (junior)

<p>I'm Japanese-American and I go to an international school in Tokyo.</p>

<p>GPA: 3.42 (weighted) (I know this is really bad, but my grades have been improving in an upward trend. freshman: 3.0, sophomore: 3.5, junior: 3.9 at the moment)</p>

<p>AP Classes this year (at my school you can only take them starting Junior year): US History, English Language and Composition, Macroeconomics. I'm also self-studying for Microeconomics and Japanese.
Next year I'm taking: European History, Environmental Science, Statistics, and French.</p>

<p>ACT Composite Score: 34
(English: 32, Math: 34, Reading: 33, Science: 35, Combined English/Writing: 29)</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
-varsity swim team all 3 years so far and captain this year
-club called abot kamay all 3 years where i went to Thailand for a service trip
-community service with an organization called Hands on Tokyo
-worked for the past 2 summers as a camp counselor at a summer camp hosted by my school</p>

<p>you’re act score’s really good and the upward trend is also really good. the 3.9 is amazing!</p>

<p>if you wanna boost your chances even more and you know that nyu is your first choice, you should apply early decision–nyu has a 50% acceptance rate for ed applicants.</p>

<p>new york and nyu are amazinggggg…i got in with a similar upward trend/gpa as you but a much lower test score so you’re good to go :D</p>

<p>OH and write some awesome essays and have your friends/smart-people-with-really-good-writing check over it!</p>
