OK, this is not a chance thread. I don’t care about my chances at this point in the game. But I do have a question.
Does sending supplemental material, such as artwork help in the admissions process? For example, I am pretty good with art but I decided not to really pursue it in highschool because I was more busy taking academic courses. I sent in two of my pieces that I did in between. Will this help and count as an E/C?

yes, of course

if they are good. I think the professors from the department evaluate them. not 100% sure though.

Cool... I did the same. I sent in two pieces (since they only allow you to send 2 pieces of paper), and everyone I showed them too were really impressed... Hopefully Penn is also.

2 pieces of paper...? really?

Yeah, it says, err:

...limit written or visual material to one or two sheets no larger than 8-1/2" x 11."

withonevoice, could you post the link where it says that it's only limited to two pages?

nevermind, the two pages applies only to artwork, I saw it on the app.

Page 2, number 7

Yeah, artwork is limited to 2 pages 8.5X11. I had to go to a special shop to scan my pieces and it cost $100!

I just took photographs with a digital camera of my pieces, then scanned each one onto a sheet of photo paper.

well that works...lol. But how were the prints?

They were decent, the best I could do with a digital camera.
The first was a pen stippling, the second was a painting.

This is them, very small: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v286/Rcappa527/2arts.jpg

I dunno if they're that good, but I've been into art for so long, and really love it.

They are quite good. The prints also turned out good. I like the one with the people the best.
