Go to the common data set for any top school and try to find someone accepted with an SAT score in the 1800s. Anyone who thinks otherwise is dreaming.

k we understand it, point recieved now stop posting.

alright Hmom5 you seems to be pretty ****ed at anyone who have a low num....

let me provide you with some of my numbers here,
after 11th grade we are poor, 6 kids in the family 2 of them are new borns, our house will be forclose if we can't come up with money.....so i have to get off my lovely senior year and put down all the studying and work my A** off! 10 hours a day 5 day stright, making only 30grand a year..... lucky 5 months we are out of trouble.

Then i meet this guy at M&A con at wachovia, we talked, we love each other's ideas so we decide to partner up for business running VC.

How much we have for start? less than 60G, we setup in china, after the $600B package CPC rolled out to rescure market, we decide to grap a piece, lucky we did, I apply patent for my "school system" it is pending, our running money basiclly are borrowed, and it won't gen returns for next 7 to 10 years.

we have account with Lenovo, ICBC, our access credit line last quarter was over $23M. the past april we invest over $1M at 5 local business in poor area of China, another $3M will be inject after the seed round and i am applying for a beta run of my own school system now....... we can't because we are not generate any returns from the first round investment. but the projected growth for the businesses we invested in are over 34% per YEAr, so after we ipo them how much will i get back? Also the project i proposal was already approved by CPC so each school system they setup in China will be a percentage for me.

So I don't know how much a SAT is going to effect my chance of going to HU, but i am surely not going there to just get a decent job.

that been said I send in a LOI to any of the school i applied i told them, if i decide to attend your school, at my age 55, 10% of my assest will be donted to your schools fund..... well i don't know how many school will take that offer, maybe they are more interested with students with 2400 on SATs

so let me put in a nut shell, i came from a poor family, with in 2 years i was able to make decisions or at least vote for decisions that worth over $3M, i had this on my own,it has nothing to do with my daddy's friend or mom's classmates,
yea i was lucky i know how to speck perfect chinese, i like to bet on chances, but really if harvard only looking for someone who are above 2150 on a SAT then OK, good the school don't want me cuz i have a *****y grade!!!

hey man, it's nice to see that you built your life like that! Good job, and keep striving for your ambitions, you'll succeed! Good luck and make sure you enjoy the benefits, once again I commend you on building your life!

lol thanks i just didn't realize all the colleges are number orantied!!! lol i could better off just include that in my essay lol

jk

Zsimcal, I don't mean to dismiss your hardships, and I'm constantly amazed at how some here respond to facts. But facts exist and at top colleges, numbers matter. They need to know that everyone they accept has a chance at doing well and numbers are one way of sorting out people who come from different countries, backgrounds and schools.

Every college publishes a common data set which can help you see who they have accepted in the past. They are much more helpful in assessing your chances than strangers on message boards. Have a look at the CDS's for your school. Factor in that colleges give break to athletes, legacies and URMs, who compose about 40% of every class. Those not in one of those categories generally need higher stats than the published median. An international student from Asia is probably in the most competitive pool of all as these colleges get many, many such applicants with very high scores.

It's hard to get the truth here, but this is it.

P. S. As someone who works in mergers and acquisitions, I'd have to say offering a college part of your future net worth based on what you've written above will probably be seen as very arrogant.

Sorry Hmom5, lol i was a little dizzed due to lack of sleeping for severl days try to get something done lol after i posted it i kind want to take it off but they said "you need to contact admi".
truth been told, college is my back up, lol i mean anyone of them, for next 5 to 7 years everything will be really really slow for me. so thats one of the reason i am applying for any colleges. haha trying to get back some school life i missed.

but even if i do get in some how in any study intensed school, i can't really go anyway that would require me to forfited my shares of the company which is worthless now, but in ten years it will be a pretty big amount.

but from your tone your sounds' like a mom to an Honored kid? if i guess right?

I've got 3 kids and they have had all sorts of school experiences. State schools, privates, great schools and not so good schools. In the end each of them learned that there are games to play and rules to follow to reach their goals.

I also interview kids for Wharton, the Country's top undergrad business school. Over the 25 years I've done this many have had businesses that sound much like your own. I hope yours goes all the way, but all of those I've watched over time were very glad they chose a good education over a nacent business. So add some more schools to your list that are realistic with your stats. If you are as talented as you say in business you will have many businesses during your life. Take the opportunity to get a solid education which will greatly add to your skill set.

Yep I do agree, but I also believe our business is kind of one shot thing, taking advantage with current development in PR.China, my partner is a very experience individual who worked at JP Morgan Chase as a managing director for over 6 years, before he took a job for an angel investor, then worked there for 3 years. So I do believe we have a better chance to succeed than most people. But I will take your advice and add some more realistic schools on my list, I am looking for schools which I can keep a study and work balanced schedule.
Just another question, is UM a pretty unrealistic school as well?

Hahahaha LOL, yep, that is how i really setup the school system I mentioned above.
but that was complete off topics, you see because of the culture differences people in China see "borrow" as a very very negative connotation. So if you are adult in China borrowing money from someone to complete an education is not something you would do. so a repayment system has to be setup, but based on current condition it is unliked CPC will ever enforced that. that is also why my P rejects it the first time.

But as for your concern lol, i didn't put give % of my wealth in my LOI, i did mention something about i want to donete my money to improve education system all over the world regardless of the amount tho.

if a guy could start a company that went world wide, I dont think scores are a issue

if your number one in your class and good ec's apply wherever the f you want! seriously some kids are just bad test takers, look at my harvard thread about my brother...your not dumb, some kids just suck at SATs, dont let it deter your
