What are my chances? Loyola Marymount, University of Arizona

Hi I’m a male, 17 year old about to be senior from Michigan. I love SoCal and I’ve been at least once a year since I was a kid( also have family out there) my dream school is to get into UCLA but I’m open to other local schools and USC etc. I like Arizona as well and I’ve already applied a week ago. I would like help regarding OOS scholarships and money since that is a big deal. Here’s my resume so far:
3.2 GPA UW/ 3.6 W

23 ACT(retaking next month, got 27 and 26 on practice test. Guess I just had a bad day that actual test day)

English: 21 Reading: 30 Math: 20
But on practice last week got Science 27, English 27, Math 21, Reading 29

SAT: 1040 ( I did not prepare at all for this I put all my effort into ACT and since my school forced us to take this My ACT prep teacher said try your best)
Reading/writing: 590 Math: 490

Intended Major: Business Marketing, Law

AP: I’ve currently taken 2 AP Classes AP World and AP US I got a 3 on the AP US
and did not take the exam on AP World
This year I will be taking AP Statistics and AP language

Extra curriculars: founder of school Spanish club
Multiple varsity football letters
Basketball team player
Volunteered at local college events
Have a job currently
Black belt in Tae Kwon Do

I know my GPA and ACT/ SAT scores are not up to par but I am retaking my ACT Sep 10. I’ve had a lot of troubling events such as moving 3 times in 4 years and multiple family deaths, not to excuse my grades but to show that I’ve tried my best. I also am an African American student not that it means much but hoping schools like Arizona will like that since they lack much diversity. I would love honest feedback on my chances in getting in and suggestions on earning scholarship money.
I also speak German and Spanish so if that has any benefits that would be great!
Thanks in advance!

Do you meet all of the University of Arizona’s [admission requirements](High School Competency Requirements | University of Arizona Admissions)? If so, you should have little to no difficulty getting into the general university. You can’t be in the Eller School until you finish your pre business courses. Apply soon as scholarship consideration ends Oct. 18.

Yes I do and more! And how do I apply to Eller college? Do I have to already be admitted?

You apply to Eller as a UA sophomore in their pre-business program. No worries about that now.

As for SoCal: You need to set your sights lower. Think Whittier, Cal Lutheran, maybe Redlands as a stretch. UCLA doesn’t take race into consideration and your scores and GPA are far below their numbers; Loyola Marymount will also be a big reach for you.

I’ve already applied to Loyola and I know that essays are key. My teacher looked at my essay I did for them and said it was one of the best he’d seen, so hoping that helps for Loyola

Also another question. I qualify for in state in Georgia, I’ve already applied to Georgia state, should I apply to Georgia as well? Or no point?
