What are my chances? Northwestern, UPenn, etc

So I just got my SAT score back and I got a 2050 (680 math, 670 reading, 700 writing). I know it isn’t great but I’m switching over to the ACT since the SAT changed format so hopefully I’ll improve that. I just took the SAT IIs for Chem, US, and Math 1 but don’t have scores yet.

Sorry this thread is a repost but I didn’t get many responses. I know a lot of these schools are definitely reaches but but please let me know your honest opinions! Also if you have any ideas of other schools that might be a good fit please let me know! Thanks!!

I meant to put whap for sophomore apush for junior year***

You got a good shot, but I think you can aim for better colleges, especially BC, it doesn’t have a very good bio program. Plus, consider Duke please :stuck_out_tongue: , it’s an awesome school

It’s a stretch to assume you’ll do that much better than you did on the SAT if you take the ACT. That being said, if you can score in the 32-35 range that will be good enough. The internship will be a good compliment to your application. However, applying as a STEM major is becoming increasingly competitive. Every other person seems to be a science or engineering major. Taking the Math 1 subject test as a science major is seen as a negative. Your personal background and 1st gen. college is a nice addition. Your EC are not super strong though besides the internship. You’ll probably get denied at Uchicago and UPenn, honestly.

I’m planning on taking math 2 in sept, I just couldn’t take it this time around since you can only take 3 in a sitting and I figured I should start with math 1. I’ve been told that I should apply undecided and then declare a science major once I’m accepted somewhere because of how many people apply with prospective STEM majors, is this something you recommend?
