What are my chances (NYU)?

Year: Junior
College: New York University (College of Arts and Sciences)

Vitals:

GPA: 3.5 (A half of Junior Year left) (All Honors or AP courses) (Unweighted)
SAT: (Taking new SAT’s in March) Estimated (Testing at) - 2330/2400 Sophomore “Ol’ School” SAT Score – 1520/1600
SAT II: 6 (All 650+) s
AP’s: AP World History, AP European History, AP American History, AP Biology, AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, AP English, AP Art History, AP Physics

Extracurriculars:

Speech and Debate (State and Local champion) (President)
Model UN (President)
Shakespeare (Student Director) (Lead Role)
Empire State Youth Orchestra (Occasional Concert Master)

By the way...

Freshman Year Average: 3.3 (C+ in Spanish killed a 91)
Sophomore Year Average: 3.4 (Once again, a B- in Spanish kills a 90)
Junior Year Average (So far): 4.0 (Yay! I applied myself ^_^) (Lack of Spanish allows me to concentrate in my other interests, which boosts my GPA immensely)

I don't want to keep being an idiot and look like I am unnecessarily bumping this thread, but I just feel like I have to keep adding more information in order to give a greater depth to my statistics.

Our school doesn't have a class rank.

Sorry for looking like an idiot...-_-

damn i actually think u mite even be able to get into a more selective school...but im a junior also so cant really tell u for sure but if nyu is where u want to go - i think u have good chance

NYU has like a 30% acceptance rate, good luck my friend.

Yes, but what does that mean?

Does it mean I'm part of the unlucky 70%, or the incredibly fortunate 30%?

I plan on applying Early Decision as well.

I don't know, I haven't looked into NYU much but your GPA may be a little weak. Don't know though. Look at my thread and tell me where you think I could get in. By the way, good luck dude, or dudette.

Also, what are my chances (Same stats, obviously), at Boston College, Boston University, Providence College, GWU, and Texas A+M?

If you're at all a serious student you're a shoe in for Texas A&M. If you're majoring in a science I'd reccomend UT Southwestern if you want to be in Texas. Keep high standards though, go for NYU dude.

Shoot for NYU, but your GPA may seem a bit weak. Try to take extra courses, or compact courses, that way your GPA will even out. The C+ in Spanish may be a problem, but I don't think it will be that bad, after its not a core class :).

edit: We have gifted/talented program here that allows you to simply take the finals of classes and get credit for them, don't know about you guys though...

wait, did you get a 1520 and a 1600 on your sats or are those estimations?? I'd say your stats are awesome except for the gpa (which is by no means bad, but I believe NYU's norm is aroudn 3.7), so write a good essay and I bet you have a good shot.
