What are my chances o getting into Brown, what should I do more, and what should I improve on

Hello, I’m currently a junior in high school and planning on graduating in 2016. I’ve looked into many different colleges and universities, but so far Brown is the only one that has caught my interest, though I’m keeping my options open. I was wondering what my chances are, what I need to improve on, and what I should do more, in order to better my chances of getting into such prestigious university. I currently have a 4.879 GPA and I’m ranked 15th in a class of 1080 students. These are the classes I’ve taken, I am taking, and what I will be taking.

9th Grade:
Algebra 2 Honors
Biology Honors
Pre-Ap World History
English 9 Honors
Orchestra (violin)
Spanish 2

10th Grade:
AP U.S History
Pre Calc. Honors
English 10 Honors
Chemistry Honors
Spanish 3 Honors
Orchestra
Debate

11th Grade (Current Courses):
AP Calculus AB
AP Language and Composition
AP Spanish
AP Psychology
Geometry Honors
Human Anatomy and Physiology
Orchestra

12th Grade (Planning to take):
AP Chemistry
Physics Honors
AP Calculus BC
Orchestra
AP Spanish 5
AP English 12

This is just the basics of my courses. As for extracurricular activities, I volunteer at my local public library, I’m on the debate team, I’m in the National Honor Society, I tutor in reading, and I was nominated to attend the National Academy of Future Physicians and will be going in a week.

No, I have not taken the SAT nor the ACT, but I plan to take both in May of 2015. In the meantime I’ve bought an SAT prep book and have taken several practice tests. I hope the lack of this information right now will not make helping me out laborious, and I will put up my scores as soon as I get them.

Thank you so much in advance for the input and please correct any mistakes I’ve made, give me as much criticism as possible, tell me what I should do a lot better, and give me tips of how to maintain my grades (or get me into top 10).

Also, if it is important, I’m from Indiana.

Again, thank you so much!

The National Academy of Future Physicians may not be very meaningful to Brown

Ok, thanks so much much for that. That something I certainly didn’t know and I will find something even more reputable.

I think you should consider accelerating your test prep and taking the SAT and ACT exams earlier. That way you have more opportunities to take the tests if you so choose. Many top kids start taking the SAT and ACT exam fall of junior year and hopefully get them out of the way. The reason I say this is that you will have a lot of AP exams in May that you need to get ready for and you still haven’t taken subject tests. Although two subject tests are required for most colleges, you’ll find that most top candidates will sit for three or more.

OK, I’ll look into taking them sooner.
