What are my chances of a UC with repeated courses?

I'm going to be a junior in high school this upcoming fall and I'm thinking about colleges, specifically UCs. However, I'm starting to worry about my admittance to any because of two courses I had/have to retake! I took chemistry and algebra 2 my sophomore year and failed.

-I failed both semesters of chemistry with a D and a F.
-I failed first semester of algebra 2 with a D but passed second semester with a B.

I already retook first semester of algebra 2 and got a A. (so on my application, would I report A & B and just disregard the D?)
Hopefully when I retake chemistry my junior year, I will get a B or higher. (I had it during zero period and it was just horrible. I gave up on it, there's no excuse. However, I am getting my act together and getting enrolled in a summer prep class along with getting a tutor.)

Will retaking these two courses look bad and hurt my chances at attending a UC?
I am an honors student with an estimated 3.7-3.85 UC GPA by the end of junior year.

Thank you for reading and your help! All is appreciated!

If you pass with good grades them upon retaking, I think you’ll be fine for UCSC, UCR, and UCM. It won’t look very good on your apps, though.
