Finally, I am heavily I involved in planning my school's Jesuit retreat, kairos, and I am hoping that this stand out to Georgetown. I wrote a lot about Jesuit values that I have learned in my essay. Also, this past summer I attended a program at Georgetown for 3 weeks.

I know that my test scores a low on average, but my grades are consistently A's. I just do not test well. I'm hoping that my activities will help me to Stan out as an applicant.

^^^ i think you have a fair shot. No one can really say you would be rejected or accepted because we do no have you application in front of us. I think you SAT 1 are pretty good except for math. your Math SAT 2 is a tad low but everyone has their strengths and weakness. but I think you have a good shot and your activities that you highlighted are pretty strong!!!

Too bad your highest section was writing.

Across the board, your standardized scores are low, which seems to indicate that there is heavy inflation at your school (as there is, increasingly, in the rest of the nation.)

At my school, our valedictorian wouldn’t even touch your GPA, and we regularly send kids to the ivies (even when accounting for weight.) By the way, what is your unweighted GPA – this is far more substantial? Our avg. gpa for Harvard is 3.8. Sorry to rant, by it’s kind of ridiculous the degree to which inflation is pervading schools.

To answer your question, you have a shot but realistically not a good one. Your scores are in the bottom 25% percentile. Georgetown is a reach for you.

Side-question: How many APs have you taken, which APs, and what scores have you received?

georgetown is a reach for anyone but think about it this way the last incoming class was 1570 students and 25% of that received lower than a 1310! and most of the lower 25% is athletes but they are not the entire lower 25%

@orange mellow hahahahaha I agree last year we sent 2 kids to harvard and one had a 4.6 and the other had a 4.54 lol

Our school lets you start taking ap classes junior year and So I took 3 last year (AP American history, AP English, and AP Chemistry) I got a 5 on the first two and a 4 on the last.

And this year I am taking AP composition and literature and AP united states government.
