I have recently applied to be a politic intern for a state representative, and I have recently been hired to work at Panera. I haven’t been able to volunteer much, because I have a single mother who is constantly at work. I have no family in the U.S. other than mom, and I don’t have a license. That is soon to change. It’s worth noting that my personal bests in running came immediately after coming out of injuries, with not even a week’s worth of workouts. I have constantly been injured throughout my whole high school running career.
It seems as if my extracurriculars are lacking compared to my peers-- is there anything I should try and do senior year to improve my chances?
Thank you all for your time and input in advance.
