<p>He could still get kicked out of the college, even if he got accepted. Say he has some jaded friend or ex who decides to provide a tip to the school, or they just happen to find out - then he gets kicked out, and has mention that if he applies elsewhere. It's better to just say it and get it over with. If is application is strong, then they will not pay too much attention to it.</p>
